✨ Message from the PTA
Welcome families! We’re excited to share the latest updates, events, and opportunities to get involved this month at Laureate Park Elementary. Thank you for your continued support!
🎯 Strategic Plan – Mission & Vision
Mission: To make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children. (National PTA Mission & Values, 2024)
Vision: A unified PTA that champions inclusive enrichment, parent empowerment, and accessible support for all LPE families—from the resource-rich to the resource-stretched. Aligned with Florida PTA’s goal: every child safe, healthy, and successful in school and life.
🏫 Room Parent Overview
ADDitions Approval
· All volunteers (new & returning) must register annually with OCPS ADDitions
· Required for any in-school activity (including door decorating)
School Access Hours
· Decorating allowed Monday–Friday only
· May begin 30 minutes after dismissal
· 🚫 No weekend access permitted
Computer Access Changes
· OCPS logins are restricted to staff this year
· PTA is providing Cricut Premium access
· Some design work may need to be done at home
· PTA Board + staff will offer Media Center support at set times
📅 Upcoming Events
9/1 – Labor Day
No school—enjoy the long weekend!
9/4 – SAC Orientation (6 PM, Media Center)
Student Advisory Council that works with the principal on school improvement goals.
9/16 – Gators Dockside Spirit Night – Bingo!
Eat, play bingo, and raise funds for PTA.
9/17 – Boosterthon Kickoff
9/19 – Spirit Cart + Spirit Day
9/25 – Parent Café (6–7 PM, Cafeteria)
Coach Kelly will lead a session on navigating 504/IEP support or finding tutoring resources.
Children welcome; light refreshments provided
